[Late morning Edna's gonna get a poke across the amulets.]
Edna... are you free to meet up for a bit?
[No messages by dogs this time, and Noctis deliberately tries to keep his emotions out of the thoughts, but it's probably still apparent that he's upset about something.]
[And he is, accompanied by Carbuncle though not by Umbra. Umbra and Pryna are sticking close to Luna and Ignis today.
He knocks on the door and waits for Edna to let him in. The air around him is damp, and it is as though the shadows cling extra thickly to him wherever they fall. A faint haze of sorts between light sources and himself that almost blurs his edges in a way.]
[He sort of drifts his way in there, definitely a bit out of it if the way he just kind of stares at the chairs for a bit before actually sitting down.]
Um... both Gladio and ... Prompto went home. [not like how Prompto went home for a while before, though.] Name on the wall home.
[... shit. He hadn't realized they were the only ones.
Noctis is quiet and still for a moment before carefully easing himself onto the floor next to her.]
... they might be back someday.
[It's all he can really think to say - everything else that comes to mind he dismisses unsaid, not really sure what might comfort her, if anything. Really, all there is he can say about it all is that this sucks. A lot.]
[Edna does something she rarely does at all, at least if you're not Eizen.
When Noct sits down next to her, she leans against him.]
Even if they are, they might not remember anything. Rose and Zaveid were here before, but they went home for a while. When they came back, they had no idea where they were or what we were talking about. They won't be able to see me.
[Noct just lets her lean for a moment before putting an arm around her.]
... we might get lucky. I've known a few people who came back remembering, so...
[So no need to totally despair but... at the same time... he kind of gets it. Until he came here, they were two of his very few friends, and if they'd just completely vanished he... has no idea what he'd do. Prompto especially - the one person to never treat him as royalty first and a person second.
[Noctis hums and doesn't argue. After a bit, he speaks agains softly.]
...Prom left most of his photos behind. At least... the ones he'd printed. If ... there's any you want... you're more than welcome to 'em. He ... showed me enough thatI'm pretty sure I can make copies, too...
[The only exceptions are a few set aside for specific people and clients of his and such. Noct supposes he should set about developing any left there to at least deliver them. Like the wedding...]

Maybe. My hopes aren't high, but they never are.
